Dr. Werts grew up in St. Petersburg, FL, where she basked in the sunshine and enjoyed the beaches, pools, and waterparks during her childhood.

Since childhood, she's maintained a deep connection with the City of St. Petersburg, where she would spend her summers meeting new friends and forging lifelong relationships. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for the arts, which led her to attend a conservatory school in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in performing arts. Though she developed a discipline that would eventually serve her in countless ways, she yearned for something extraordinary.

Driven by a commitment to create a meaningful, lasting impact on her community and its youth, she chose to embark on a career as a physical therapist. Staying true to her passion for assisting children and families in achieving their optimal functional outcomes, Play It Forward Pediatrics emerged.

This venture embodies her belief in encouraging families to view every challenge as a stepping stone toward their goals while celebrating the joy that accompanies growth.
